The way that Pixar has been doing their trailers almost makes you anxious to see what its about. A single tank of compressed will take you 13o miles. Only downfall is it will only go 45mph. Not bad if you do a lot of local driving.</div><div><br /></div><div>Imagine only having to fill up using the air compressor at the gas station. Hmm paying $1-$2 for air. To go 130 miles the AirPOD would cost $1. Compare to a car that gets 20mpg, it would cost a little over $21 at price $3.25/gallon of gas. </div><div><br /></div><div>I'd totally get one if its cheap and available in the US!</div><div><br /></div>Lindyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05326857461184761843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6045619117623617903.post-15727668605410535872008-11-13T11:34:00.000-08:002008-11-13T11:35:55.269-08:00To Carry or Not To Carry...There are many times where I've been out somewhere and said to myself, dang I wish I brought my DLSR camera. Yes I have an iPhone that can take pictures but the photo quality isn't as great as something I could take on my Nikon.<br /><br />I've always gone back and forth with myself about bringing the camera with me everywhere I go but for the most part I end up leaving it at home. I normally bring my camera for larger events (birthdays, weddings, parties, etc.). I just get bored of taking these same types of photos. <br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">I want to bring the camera with me because:</span><br /> - I can take photos of things that catch my attention or things I like. <br /> - There are tons of photo opportunities to take pictures of people, structures, anything.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">I don't want to bring it all the time because:</span><br /> - I would have to bring the bag and all the accessory gear.<br /> - I have a sling back and its not a bag I feel is the most comfortable bag to wear for long periods of time.<br /> - I run the risk of it being lost or stolen.<br /><br />Maybe I'll just suck it up, look like a tourist and bring it where ever I go.<br /><br />Any comments or suggestions are greatly welcomed!!!Lindyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05326857461184761843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6045619117623617903.post-76701708947608119282008-11-11T23:47:00.000-08:002008-11-12T00:04:21.135-08:00As Seen on TV<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ8TMO_ZXDB74273GU8JM_XHo8KN05AUuf6_7paSteE10f8g5HuufQQ_ZnqknV43YWebpsjkXP3jJEvXKgmBqURgX2Yyv3oUCAmZA_2aWuXjzbg8FYukUzq4jJXpzpYGTPFTE0PgnHaeM/s1600-h/p1.jpg"><img style="text-align: center;float: right; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 153px; height: 200px; " src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ8TMO_ZXDB74273GU8JM_XHo8KN05AUuf6_7paSteE10f8g5HuufQQ_ZnqknV43YWebpsjkXP3jJEvXKgmBqURgX2Yyv3oUCAmZA_2aWuXjzbg8FYukUzq4jJXpzpYGTPFTE0PgnHaeM/s200/p1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267675068767645042" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglURcHTLRgj81tJ7LO39Twt5nZ6cSUv2mPl0hYnlu-S-9xHA4-11vGp7rcxNUrT5mgzVmc9h-w2SxozBPmgZXtaNoR-zu5OsLrcqnWeZg9kncAIXlJnD0U7bEQctg1t_-v8nR2kEYyH1I/s1600-h/hercules-hook-bonus.jpg"><img style="text-align: center;float: right; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 156px; height: 200px; " src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglURcHTLRgj81tJ7LO39Twt5nZ6cSUv2mPl0hYnlu-S-9xHA4-11vGp7rcxNUrT5mgzVmc9h-w2SxozBPmgZXtaNoR-zu5OsLrcqnWeZg9kncAIXlJnD0U7bEQctg1t_-v8nR2kEYyH1I/s200/hercules-hook-bonus.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267675056825684930" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA1DKJt3GsiemrgVe5Tl97_BDzXcBDM07-YfinZOjRi9JM7mn59mTm_N0hZ-bsKFZlU9Fb4mLEdChH49_CTr2qTG_UVvwCC-AuGClXz_Bw0rBx_fHtGKUg2DGIDVpAsgwGKVUtRBnjUeo/s1600-h/THTTRL-1_LRG.jpg"><img style="text-align: center;float: right; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 199px; " src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA1DKJt3GsiemrgVe5Tl97_BDzXcBDM07-YfinZOjRi9JM7mn59mTm_N0hZ-bsKFZlU9Fb4mLEdChH49_CTr2qTG_UVvwCC-AuGClXz_Bw0rBx_fHtGKUg2DGIDVpAsgwGKVUtRBnjUeo/s200/THTTRL-1_LRG.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267675058920906834" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></div><!--StartFragment--> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination:none;mso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination:none;mso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination:none;mso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination:none;mso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><br /></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination:none;mso-layout-grid-align:none;text-autospace:none"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">I wouldn't say I'm an infomerical junkie. For some, its not a real big impact because they're still driving their gas hoarding SUV's or high performance luxury cars.<div><br /></div><div>I used to drive an Acura TL that required 91 premium gas. So when gas prices were hitting that $3.00 mark, I was spending $45-$55 per tank and would barely get 300 miles per gallon. If I kept the TL I would have been spending closer to $75 per fill up.</div><div><br /></div><div>Don't get me wrong I loved my TL. Loved everything about it, the built in navi, bluetooth, it had all the gadgets I wanted in a car. I was definitely sad to see it go, but it was more saddening to have an empty bank account due to driving.</div><div><br /></div><div>I traded in the TL for a more economical car, a Honda Civic Hybrid. While it didn't have all the amenities as the TL, it did have what I needed, high MPG and the same exact navigation system as the TL. </div><div><br /></div><div>Having the TL for the past 2 years has saved me a lot of money and I've gotten more bang for my buck because of the increase in miles per gallon.</div><div><br /></div><div>As of late, I've been spending $35-$38 on average to fill up the hybrid and average 400-425 miles per gallon. Although that sounds great compared to what I would have spent if I kept the TL, I still think $35 per tank is still high. </div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">(Begin Old timers Moment) </span></div><div>I remember when I was in high school...gas was $.80-$1.00 per gallon and I drove a Mustang. In an entire month I wouldn't spend close to $50.</div><div><br /></div><div>So yesterday when I went to fill up my tank I almost couldn't believe it.</div><div>$25 to fill up.</div><div><br /></div><div>The proof is in the picture.</div><div><br /></div><div>Gotta love having a Hybrid.</div><div><br /></div>Lindyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05326857461184761843noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6045619117623617903.post-12450830504758512852008-11-10T15:51:00.000-08:002008-11-10T15:53:47.398-08:00The start of it all<span style="font-size:100%;"><img style="font-family: arial;" src="file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/m631549/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg" alt="" /><span style="font-family:arial;">So I figured my first post for this blog should be about why I decided to start a blog in the first place.</span> <span style="font-family:arial;"><br /><br />The name of my blog, Lindy Likes It, is pretty much self explanatory. But to add more words to this post I'll elaborate.</span> <span style="font-family:arial;">Well one day my significant other whom I shall call Bubba, (Some may already know why I call her that and for those who don't, maybe one day I'll share the story behind it in a blog posting) said I should start a blog because people always come to me to ask me about my opinions on a variety of things. I tell her ok and think to myself, "maybe this could be my new thing?". So I began the process to sign up for a new blog. Bubba and I were discussing what the name of the blog should be. After a few mins of discussion I decided on Lindy Likes It because really this blog is about things I like, so there you have it.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">I like a lot of things. I find things interesting because I think its funny, weird or off the wall, absolutely ridiculous or just because it catches my attention.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">I dabble in a few things that I guess I could call hobbies from time to time, such as electronics (computers, gadgets, etc.), photography, videography, graphic design. Some of my other likes are music (various genres, I go through stages), dogs (especially the Pembroke Welsh Corgi breed, I just got one not too long ago), martial arts, movies, and other things that don't come to mind right now.</span> <span style="font-family:arial;"><br /><br />But all in all...I love technology. I love things that make our day to day lives easier. Some say its because I'm lazy but I will never concede to that remark. I think of myself as a person who likes to be efficient. I don't like taking extra steps if I don't need to. Life is short, why make things harder on yourself when you don't need to? I don't have time for that. I think technology fills that need to be efficient. </span> <span style="font-family:arial;">How would the world be without computers, cell phones, all in one remotes, cheese in a can? Ok, the world would still be the same without the cheese whiz but still. The little things that make our lives a little bit easier can go a long way.</span> <span style="font-family:arial;"><br /><br />So more to come on what I like. Hopefully this journey will be a fun one and I hope lots of people come to join me on the ride. If not, then I guess it'll be just me myself and I. 3 of my favorite people.</span> <span style="font-family:arial;"><br /><br />Cheers to efficiency!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family:arial;">Lindy</span></span>Lindyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05326857461184761843noreply@blogger.com1
